| Each Thanksgiving, families from the South Central Los Angeles community line up for hours outside APCH, waiting to enjoy what for some will be their only holiday meal. In addition to Mark Wahlberg joining us this year, we are honored to have Director/Actress Penny Marshall, Actresses Victoria Rowell and Regina King, and Sam Cassell from the Los Angeles Clippers. The Center, located at 2830 South Central Avenue in South Los Angeles, will serve dinner and host fun activities for the whole family to enjoy together at APCH from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWeb) November 22, 2006 -- Mark Wahlberg and The Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation will provide a traditional sit down Thanksgiving dinner for more than 700 South Los Angeles parents and children, this Wednesday at A Place Called Home (APCH) www.apch.org. The Center, located at 2830 South Central Avenue in South Los Angeles, will serve dinner and host fun activities for the whole family to enjoy together at APCH from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. APCH provides at-risk youth (ages 8-20) with a secure, positive family environment where they learn skills to lead to a productive lifestyle. We help inner city youth find their dreams through educational enrichment. Over the past 13 years, APCH has evolved into a model youth facility that regularly receives national attention. It is the mission of The Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation to improve the quality of life for inner city youth through working partnerships with other youth organizations and A Place Called Home www.apch.org is honored to be a recipient of their generosity and kindness.
